- Coordinate and appraise tutors and subject teachers
- Lead meetings related to Grades 6 - 10
- Assist in the appointment of new staff

Specific Tasks for 2008
Whilst the key task areas have been identified above, the following is a (non-exhaustive) list of specific tasks
- Following through the recently implemented systems to improve discipline
- Reviewing and refining the new curriculum map with teaching staff
- Assuring the effective delivery of the new curriculum
- Implementation of the IB Learner Profile
- Developing cross-curricular projects in grades 7 to 10
- Ensuring concurrency of learning throughout the secondary school
- Improving resources to allow more inquiry based learning
- Training staff in trans-disciplinary, child-centred teaching and learning
- Evaluating / implementing the MYP and/or Checkpoint & IGCSE
* Note that at present the secondary school starts at Grade 7 but may include Grade 6 from 2009. |
