Reports
Reports are given four times a year, at the end of each term.
Infants
A qualitative system is used for each criterion:
C Beginning |
B In Process |
A Achieved |
Primary
Both qualitative and quantitative feedback is given:
C 0 – 10 |
B 11 – 12 |
A 13 – 16 |
AD 17 – 20 |
Secondary
- Each criterion is marked on a 20 point scale
- A norm-referenced system gives indication of a student’s position in the class
- An increased weighting is given to summative assessment, in preparation for external examinations
Promotion
Whilst the school tries hard to keep students with their peer group, there are certain minimum requirements set by the ministry of education. Students who do not meet the requirements for their age group are required to sit exams in February. Those falling well below the standards, or who fail to improve sufficiently in the February exams are required to repeat the year.
Behaviour
The school reports on behaviour at each report, using the following scale:
C 0 – 10 |
B 11 – 12 |
A 13 – 16 |
AD 17 – 20 |
